Our Story

A neighborhood shop that feels like coming home.

Tess Mainstreet was born from a simple idea: retail should be human. In a world of endless scrolling and faceless checkout lines, we chose the opposite path — a shop where you're greeted by name, where every product has a story, and where your satisfaction matters more than any sale.

Located right on Main Street in the heart of Narrowsburg, we've been serving our community with carefully selected goods that blend quality, charm, and practicality. Whether you're looking for something special or just browsing, there's always room for you here.

Why Tess Mainstreet

Small-shop advantages that make a real difference

Big stores have algorithms. We have opinions — and we're happy to share them.

Picked with Care

Nothing on our shelves is there by accident. Every product is hand-selected for quality, usefulness, and character.

Real People, Real Talk

No bots, no scripts. Just knowledgeable folks who love helping you find exactly what you need — or what you didn't know you needed.

Rooted Right Here

We're neighbors, not a corporation. When you shop with us, you're keeping local commerce alive and well in Narrowsburg.

Community Love

What our neighbors are saying

The best reviews are the ones that come naturally — from people who walk in as customers and leave as friends.

"I walked in looking for a small gift and walked out with exactly the right thing — plus recommendations for three other people on my list. This is what shopping should feel like."

Margaret T.

Narrowsburg resident

"The kind of shop where you discover things you didn't know existed. Everything is arranged so nicely and the staff actually knows their stuff. I drive past a dozen big stores just to come here."

David R.

Surrounding community

"Finally — a local shop that gets it. Great taste, fair prices, and nobody hovering over you. I bring visitors here first thing when they visit Narrowsburg."
